Not On My Watch is a bystander training handbook to prevent sexual assault. It includes detailed information on consent, how to respond to inappropriate comments, specific strategies to intervene in bad situations, tips to protect yourself, and what you can do if you suspect your friend is in an abusive relationship. This book is designed with college campus communities in mind, and strives to take a forward approach to encouraging bystanders to step forward to keep themselves and the people around them safe.
Not On My Watch: The Bystander’s Handbook For the Prevention of Sexual Violence is self-published comic book that emphasizes the importance of bystander intervention and provides real world strategies and examples to encourage and help the reader. The book covers the topics of consent, creating a culture of respect by combatting harassment, strategies to intervene in occasions where consent is not being given, tips to protect yourself, and what to do if you think a friend may be in an abusive relationship.
